Construction of New Ramat Aviv began in 1996, and the building and occupancy process was completed in early 2016. It is bounded by Namir Road to the east, Levi Eshkol Boulevard to the west, Einstein Street to the south and Propes Street to the north. To the east, across Namir, are Neve Avivim and Ramat Aviv Gimel, to the west is Nofei Yam, and to the south the Lamed neighborhood.
Construction in the neighborhood is relatively uniform: modern apartment buildings with elevators, parking and balconies, with no ground level homes. Its streets are named after artists and cultural figures, such as the actor Shraga Friedman and the painter Yosef Zaritsky, and after the Righteous Among the Nations Aristides de Sousa Mendes.
The neighborhood relies on the health and welfare institutions of the nearby Lamed and Ramat Aviv Gimel neighborhoods, and it has two neighborhood shopping centers with a supermarket, cafés, hair salons and restaurants.
The neighborhood elementary school is in the heart of Levi Eshkol Boulevard, and a short distance away are several of the newest and most sought after schools in the northwest of the city.

Tichonet, named after Alterman, at 3 Shoshana Persitz Street, with about 1,507 students, and Ironi Kaf Dalet Amos Oz, the two high schools attended by children from the area.
The location of New Ramat Aviv is one of its greatest advantages. In January 2022 a signalized crosswalk opened at the junction of Levi Eshkol and Marc Chagall, safely connecting the neighborhood to Aviv School, the synagogue and Nofei Yam, and making it possible to reach the beach on foot or by bike.
The cliff promenade, inaugurated in September 2023, connects Tel Baruch Beach to South HaTzuk Beach, a short bike ride from the neighborhood.
A country club with a pool and gyms operates in the center of neighboring Nofei Yam.
The Tehilat Aviv Synagogue at 1 Shraga Friedman Street also serves the residents of Nofei Yam, and the Alon Ronen Sports Center operates at 94 Levi Eshkol Boulevard.
Tel Aviv University, the Eretz Israel Museum, the Yitzhak Rabin Center and the Palmach Museum are a short drive away, in Old Ramat Aviv.
The neighborhood has two neighborhood shopping centers, with a supermarket, cafés, hair salons and restaurants, so everyday shopping is done on foot. One of the best known spots in the neighborhood is Tzuk Farm, a deli and restaurant at 4 Zaritsky Street.
For bigger shopping trips, Ramat Aviv Mall at 40 Einstein Street is just across the Einstein and Namir junction, with about 120 shops, and in the Azorei Chen shopping center, north of Propes, there are restaurants, a pharmacy and a country club.

The Levi Eshkol station of the Green Line will serve New Ramat Aviv, the Lamed neighborhood and Kochav HaTzafon. The branch runs north along Levi Eshkol Boulevard to Einstein and continues east, and the Namir and Brodetsky stations are also planned nearby. In March 2025 Egged won the tender to operate the line.
Along Levi Eshkol Boulevard are the Rodensky, Zaritsky, Marc Chagall, Propes and Einstein stops, and the Azorei Chen terminal is near the neighborhood.
Tel Aviv University station, which opened in 2000, is a short drive away. Namir Road, the Coastal Highway and the Glilot Interchange connect to the north and south.
