RS Nadlan is a real estate marketing and brokerage company working in Tel Aviv, Ramat HaSharon, Herzliya, Ra’anana and Kfar Saba, specializing in the neighborhoods of North Tel Aviv. Our offices are in Ramat Aviv Gimel. North Afeka is the half of the Afeka neighborhood north of Keren Kayemet Boulevard, and it borders Ramat Aviv Gimel directly. It is a quiet area of villas and private homes, with a large neighborhood park, a long established synagogue and streets that tell the story of the Haganah. We know every single street here, and we guide buyers and sellers with discretion, including Off Market properties that are not advertised on listing sites. For the full picture of the whole neighborhood, its history and the schools around it, it is also worth reading the full page on Afeka.

01 · The character of the neighborhood

What exactly is North Afeka

Worth knowing: the municipality has no neighborhood called “North Afeka”. On the official neighborhood map there is a single neighborhood, Afeka, covering 534 dunams. The split into north and south is a common division in neighborhood guides and in the real estate world, and Keren Kayemet Boulevard is its dividing line. According to the municipality’s address layer, there are 324 addresses north of Keren Kayemet Boulevard, slightly more than half of the neighborhood, and every street falls entirely on one side.

The boundaries, as Time Out describes them: Shmuel Barkai Street to the north, facing Ramat Aviv Gimel, the Ayalon Highway to the east, and Recanati and Haim Levanon streets to the west. Inside this triangle run Alumim, HaMitnadev, HaRekhesh, Afakim, Heil HaMishmar, HaNoter, Shaike Ophir, Mishmar HaGvul, HaMishmar HaEzrahi, Hish, Magshimim and Leon Recanati, and on the edges also Barkai (even numbers 2 to 32) and Abba Ahimeir (24 to 34).

The names are no coincidence. Most of the street names in the neighborhood were chosen after operations of the Haganah, and in the north they stand out in particular: HaRekhesh, Hish, HaNoter, Heil HaMishmar and HaMishmar HaEzrahi. And in 1958 the Afeka cooperative grocery operated on Hish Street, next to the synagogue, with the highest revenue per resident in Tel Aviv.

In October 2024 the municipality finished upgrading it: it is accessible, with new swings, seating areas and an outdoor classroom, and next to it are two tennis courts and a basketball court. 04 · Shopping and services

Shopping and services close to home

Real estate in North Afeka: a quiet street of private homes behind hedges, bougainvillea and mature trees (illustration)

Afeka is a residential neighborhood in the fullest sense, and the scarcity of shopping centers is part of its character. On the northern side there are just a few businesses, such as the Riki Alis hair salon at 12 Leon Recanati Street.

The advantage of the north is its proximity to Ramat Aviv Gimel. The commercial center on Abba Ahimeir Street, in the neighboring neighborhood, includes Shufersal, Super Pharm, Aroma and Arcaffe, among others, so most everyday errands can be done on foot. Our offices, at Kashani 3G, are in the same neighborhood too.
