RS Nadlan is a real estate marketing and brokerage company working in Tel Aviv, Ramat HaSharon, Herzliya, Ra’anana and Kfar Saba, and it guides deals in the neighborhoods of Ramat HaSharon. Our offices are in Ramat Aviv Gimel, a short drive from the neighborhood. The Alon quarter is the historic heart of the city: this is where the Ir Shalom moshava was founded in 1923, and from here all of Ramat HaSharon grew. Today it brings together older homes, new boutique buildings and renewal projects, so every property here calls for an understanding of both the history and the plans. We guide buyers and sellers in Alon, including Off Market properties that are not advertised.

01 · The character of the neighborhood

The unique character of Alon

In 1923 a group from Jaffa, led by Rabbi Yaakov Ben Shalom, founded the moshava of Ir Shalom. On November 3, 1923, a lottery of lots was held among 53 owners, for lots of 5 dunams each, and the moshava’s first branch of farming was tobacco. In 1932 the settlement took the name Ramat HaSharon.

The quarter lies in the north of the city, east of Sokolov, north of Hadar and south of Herzliya. It is named after Alon High School, which stands within it, and its streets include Bereshit, HaShfela, HaHagana, HaMitnachalim, HaTabak, HaPalmach, Yavne and Bialik Boulevard.

The neighborhood mixes ground level homes, low older buildings and new buildings. The Geulim compound, with 25 row houses from the 1920s, is an example of the change: a project of 180 apartments is being built in its place.

Here, on the land of Ir Shalom, the first tobacco of Ramat HaSharon was planted in 1923, and from here the whole city grew. The Alon quarter, the heart of the moshava

02 · Education

Schools and education in Alon

The neighborhood is home to the city’s first school and one of its two municipal high schools, so families enjoy long established schools within walking distance. Placement follows the municipality’s registration zones, and it is worth confirming it with the education department before buying.

03 · Heritage and community

The Alon quarter preserves the story of the moshava: its first buildings still stand here, alongside institutions that serve the whole city.

04 · Shopping and leisure

Sokolov and Bialik, right here

Sokolov, the main shopping street of Ramat HaSharon, runs along the western edge of the quarter, and Bialik Boulevard crosses it: cafés, restaurants, boutique shops and services, within walking distance of every home.

The city plan concentrates new construction along the Sokolov axis, near the planned metro stations, so these streets are expected to grow even stronger in the coming years.

05 · Nature and surroundings

Old trees and neighborhood gardens

Because this is the oldest part of the city, many streets in the quarter are shaded by trees decades old: cypresses, eucalyptus and ficus trees, alongside the private gardens of the old houses.

Public gardens and playgrounds are scattered between the streets, and HaNetzach Park and the open spaces of the west of the city are a short drive away.

06 · Transportation and access

Getting in and getting out

The Alon quarter lies between Ramat HaSharon and Herzliya: a short walk to Sokolov, and a short drive to North Tel Aviv and central Herzliya.

Sokolov and Bialik

The city’s main axes run through the quarter. Sokolov continues south to North Tel Aviv and north to Herzliya.

Buses

City and intercity bus lines run along Sokolov, a short walk from the neighborhood.

The metro in the future

Four stations are planned in Ramat HaSharon on the M1 metro line, including one on Sokolov, which is expected to open in the next decade.

09 · Why RS Nadlan

A real estate agency in Alon that knows every street

An RS Nadlan real estate advisor reviewing documents with a couple at a boulevard café in Ramat HaSharon

In the Alon quarter, the value of a property depends on much more than its square meters: the building rights on the lot, the renewal plans for the street, the proximity to Sokolov and the future metro station, and sometimes the historic value of the house itself.

RS Nadlan has worked in North Tel Aviv and Ramat HaSharon since 2015, and guides deals in the city’s neighborhoods. We know the buyers looking for an apartment in a boutique building in the heart of the city, and those looking for an older house with potential, and we know how to present each of them with the right property.

Anyone looking for a broker in Alon needs someone who knows the streets, the plans and the latest deals. For anyone planning a property sale in Alon, we offer exclusive brokerage with a precise marketing plan, and for buyers we present apartments and homes for sale in Ramat HaSharon. We also work in the nearby neighborhoods, such as Hadar, and as a real estate agency in Ramat HaSharon.
