A neighborhood of semi detached homes and villas on generous lots, which grew up around the Lithuania housing project, between Weizmann Boulevard and the open spaces of the western city
RS Nadlan is a real estate marketing and brokerage company working in Tel Aviv, Ramat HaSharon, Herzliya, Ra’anana and Kfar Saba, specializing in private home neighborhoods, and it guides deals in the prestige neighborhoods of Ramat HaSharon. Our offices are in Ramat Aviv Gimel, a short drive from the neighborhood. Kiryat Yearim is one of the most sought after neighborhoods in the city for families looking for a house: semi detached homes and villas on lots of 400 sqm up to a dunam, large gardens and an elementary school inside the neighborhood. We guide buyers and sellers in Kiryat Yearim, including Off Market properties that are not advertised.
In the early 1950s, the Association of Lithuanian Jews in Philadelphia and the Association of Lithuanian Jews in Israel built a housing project for Holocaust survivors from Lithuania, west of the historic core of Ramat HaSharon. 40 families moved in in 1952 and another 40 in 1954, and the place became known as “Little Lithuania in Ramat HaSharon.” Over the years, Kiryat Yearim grew up around the housing project.
The neighborhood lies in the northwest of the city: HaNegev and Mivtza Kadesh streets to the north, Sokolov to the east, Weizmann Boulevard and Jabotinsky Street to the south, and open spaces to the west. Its streets include Yitzhak Elhanan, Eshel Avraham, Kehilat Vilna, Zayin BeHeshvan, Yavne and LaMerhav.
Most of the neighborhood is made up of ground level and semi detached homes on lots of 400 sqm up to a dunam, with a few older low rise buildings at its center. In 2016 it had about 4,800 residents, and it is ranked 9 out of 10 on the socioeconomic index.
Streets that carry the names of Lithuania: Kehilat Vilna, Yitzhak Elhanan, Eshel Avraham. Here, 80 families of survivors built a new home. The Lithuania housing project, the beginning of Kiryat Yearim

The neighborhood elementary school is inside the neighborhood, on Yitzhak Elhanan Street, within walking distance of most homes. Placement in middle school and high school follows the municipal registration zones, and it is worth confirming it with the education department before buying.

The roots of the neighborhood are still present: in the streets named after the Jewish communities of Lithuania, in the old synagogue and in the new memorial plaque to the founders.
In November 2024, a new memorial plaque was unveiled on Yitzhak Elhanan Street honoring the families who built the Lithuania housing project.

The sports hall at 13 Yitzhak Elhanan Street, on the school campus.
The long established public garden of the city center, a short walk south of the neighborhood.

Along Sokolov Street, on the eastern edge of the neighborhood, a shopping center offers everyday services, and from there the main commercial street of Ramat HaSharon continues south.
The cafés, restaurants and shops of the city center, on Sokolov and Ussishkin, are a short drive away, and at the Lev Ramat HaSharon cinema you can end the evening close to home.
Public gardens are scattered throughout the neighborhood, and at the heart of the older building complex on Yitzhak Elhanan Street lies a large, long established green garden, which is preserved in the renewal plan as well.
West of the neighborhood stretch the open spaces of Ramat HaSharon, and the plan for the new neighborhood at the end of Yavne Street also includes a park on its southern side.

Kiryat Yearim is quiet and set back from the main roads, yet only a few minutes from Sokolov and the HaKfar HaYarok interchange, with quick access to Tel Aviv.
The two main roads of the city run along the edges of the neighborhood, leading south to North Tel Aviv and the HaKfar HaYarok interchange.
A western bypass road for Ramat HaSharon is being planned, and Yavne and Mivtza Kadesh are planned as a main route between the west and the east of the city.
Four stations are planned in Ramat HaSharon on the M1 metro line, including one on Sokolov. The project is still in planning, and its timeline is long.
For houses, the neighborhood is one of the most expensive in the city: in 2017 a 9 room house on Eshel Avraham Street sold for ₪22 million. For apartments, according to Bizportal, 4 room apartments of about 100 sqm sold in the summer of 2025 for about ₪3.75 to ₪3.85 million.
In February 2025, apartments in the neighborhood were offered at about ₪36,300 to ₪47,300 per sqm, and in the renewal project on Yitzhak Elhanan Street the new apartments start at about ₪3.7 million.

In Kiryat Yearim, two houses on the same street can be millions apart: the lot size, the building rights, the condition of the house and its orientation. Pricing by the average misses the mark.
